"My intelligent, funny, caring, gifted sister, Lynda, died ten years ago, and we miss her as much today as we did then. I believe she thought she would make all of our lives better if she 'went away,' but she could not have been more wrong.

Since Lynda’s death, I have been surprised to learn how many people have been affected by suicide. People just do not talk about it. Suicide is a 'silent disease' that affects a lot of people, and I wonder if suicide would affect as many people if we would just talk about it.

This is the reason why I am supporting this project, the Stanley Sessions. We need to put a face on suicide and get the conversation going. Ignoring the problem does not make it go away."
